About AmeriPlan

A Company With a Long History

AmeriPlan was founded in 1992 by Dennis and Daniel Bloom with a vision of helping people have access to affordable healthcare.

In May of 2026, the company was purchased by Mark and Tracy Jarvis, former independent AmeriPlan consultants and successful business owners. Their vision is to continue growing AmeriPlan by combining its discount benefit programs and business opportunity with modern technology and additional value for plan members and consultants.

Independent benefit consultants have been helping people save money on healthcare and build their own businesses with AmeriPlan since the company's beginning.

How long is the training?
Initial training and setup typically takes about 5–10 hours. Training is provided through live and recorded conference calls and an interactive training website. Training continues throughout your first year and is self-paced, so you can work through it on your own schedule.
Am I paid for training?
No. Training itself is not compensated. Consultants are paid when they enroll people into benefit plans and/or the work-from-home opportunity. You do not have to complete every training module before you begin sharing what you are learning.

Do I have set hours?
No. You set your own hours and choose when and how long you work. There is no clock-in requirement and no stated minimum time commitment. Consultants may work part-time or full-time depending on their goals and availability.
Do I have to attend a lot of mandatory meetings?
No. You decide which online training calls and team meetings you attend. The goal is to provide resources that help you build your business while maintaining flexibility.
Can I work both the benefit and team-building sides?
Absolutely. You can work with either option or both at the same time. It is your choice.

Do I need special skills or previous experience?
No specific industry experience is required. The company has consultants from many different backgrounds. What you need is a willingness to learn, a computer, a phone, a willingness to be coached and time to consistently work your business.
Can I be successful part-time?
Many consultants build their business while working another job or managing family responsibilities. The original information recommends consistently committing about 5–10 hours per week if you are building part-time.

Why do I have to pay to work with the company?
This is an independent home-business opportunity, not an employment position. The enrollment one-time fee of $99.95 is used to establish your account, websites and activate your Deluxe Plus benefits plan. After the first month, the recurring monthly fee of $39.95 is the cost of your Deluxe Plus membership benefit plan for you and your household.
What if I don't need the benefit plan?
The benefit plan comes with your consultant enrollment and is required for consultants who want to qualify for commissions. Some people use the plan as a supplement to existing insurance or to help with expenses that fall outside their traditional coverage.
What does the Deluxe Plus membership include?
